The “farm to school table” project was inspired by the culinary and global vision of Alice Waters, who founded the “edible schoolyard” in Berkeley, California, an inter-disciplinary gardening program with a focus on harvesting, cooking, and science. The purpose of our “farm to school table” project is to build eco-literacy and create awareness between the earth, food, cooking and biology; and to give children the privilege of working in a garden.
