Submit a Conference Proposal – 2017 California Agriculture in the Classroom Conference
California Foundation for Ag in the Classroom is seeking enthusiastic presenters who would like to share their expertise, experience and educational resources with conference attendees. Proposals are now being accepted to present a workshop or Make ‘n’ Take, exhibit at conference, or host a Taste of California dinner table!
Workshop Proposal – Due March 22, 2017
Provide an engaging and informative, one-hour, agriculturally-themed workshop. Workshops should include classroom lessons, techniques, resources, methods or programs with a practical connection to agriculture. The workshops will take place on Friday, July 14, 2017, 10:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. AND 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Make ‘n’ Take Proposal
Provide teaching strategies and practical connections to agriculture using hands-on activities suitable for the classroom in this fast-paced, high-energy learning exchange. All Make ‘n’ Take sessions will take place on Saturday, July 15, 2017, 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Taste of California Table Host Proposal
Showcase California’s agricultural commodities and resources by hosting a table at this fun event. Your participation as an agricultural partner will highlight knowledge teachers can share with their students. The dinner will take place on Friday, July 14, 2017, 6:15 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Display your organization’s valuable resources and engage with educators by hosting an exhibit. Exhibit hours take place on Friday, July 14, 2017, 9:00 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.
